Exciting Update: SMR Wellness Center is Now a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit!
We are thrilled to announce that SMR Wellness Center is now officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization! This is a huge milestone for us, allowing us to expand our impact and further our mission of providing animal and equine-assisted therapy to those in need. With this new status, we are more committed than ever to serving our community and offering healing experiences through the incredible power of animals.
In addition, we are preparing to launch our website at SMR Wellness Center, where you’ll find more information about our therapy programs, upcoming events, and volunteer opportunities.
To continue growing and improving our facilities, we have started actively fundraising through various crowdfunding platforms. Our current goal is to enclose and insulate the SMR Wellness Riding Center so that we can provide year-round services, regardless of weather conditions. If you’d like to support our mission, you can find all of our fundraising campaigns at SMR Wellness Center.
Your generosity, support, and prayers mean the world to us. We couldn’t do this without our amazing community, and we are so excited for what the future holds.
Support equine therapy, donate today!
With gratitude,
Tim and Heather Martin

Welcome to Smooth Moves Ranch – A Hub for Equine Therapy and Healing
Smooth Moves Ranch is a small, family-owned farm nestled in the heart of North Mississippi. Founded by Tim Martin and Heather Godsey in 2020, Smooth Moves Ranch is the result of their shared dream and passion for animals, healing, and community. Before starting Smooth Moves Ranch, both Tim and Heather owned separate ranches, bringing years of experience in equine care and therapy to this new chapter of their lives. Married in July 2021, they, along with their seven children, have worked tirelessly to build a place of joy, connection, and healing.
What We Do
At Smooth Moves Ranch, our mission extends beyond simply caring for animals. Through SMR Wellness Center, we provide animal and equine-assisted therapy to individuals with physical and emotional disabilities. Our Paso Fino horses play an essential role in our therapy sessions, showcasing their gentle nature and strong connections with humans. We believe that equine-assisted therapy can transform lives by boosting confidence, reducing stress, and improving emotional well-being.
Our Therapy Programs
SMR Wellness Center is dedicated to supporting individuals struggling with:
Autism
PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder)
Depression & Anxiety
Physical Disabilities
By providing a safe and welcoming environment, we allow individuals to experience the therapeutic benefits of animals firsthand.
Bringing Joy to Nursing Homes
Another exciting initiative we’re proud of is our Nursing Home Travel Program, where we bring miniature donkeys, miniature horses, fainting goats, and therapy dogs to visit nursing home residents. These visits provide comfort and joy to those who may feel isolated, and seeing their happiness is one of the most rewarding aspects of our work.
Join Our Mission
We feel deeply called to this mission and give thanks to God every day for His guidance and blessings as we continue to grow our programs. With our 501(c)(3) status now official, we are eager to expand our reach and increase access to equine therapy.
Every step we take is powered by passion, perseverance, and the amazing support of our friends, family, and online community. Whether you’re interested in volunteering, donating, or simply learning more, we invite you to be part of our journey.
Help us bring healing through horses—support our mission today!
Thank you for believing in our vision and helping us bring hope, healing, and happiness to those in need.
I am so excited for you Tim and Heather Congratulations
